B.E.A.R.S WINTER SERIES 2012

Our 6 round winter series kicks off again in May 2012 with a full track meeting at Powerbuilt Raceway Ruapuna. All BEARS class are catered for as well as classes for CAMS & Buckets. Sign on from 10:30am (don't be late) and racing from 12:00. As always the racing will be followed by a free Barbeque at the bar around 4:30. 

ROUND ONE - MAY 6th Ruapuna full track

ROUND TWO - JUNE 17th Ruapuna 'B' track

 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

2012 AGM of the BEARS MOTORCYCLE CLUB will be held on WEDNESDAY JUNE 6th. 

Time: 7:30pm till around 10pm

Venue: Parkhouse Tavern Jipcho Road Sockburn. (just off Parkhouse Road)

Agenda: Election of officers and general committee. Financial report. General business

Note: All nominations for officers & committee must be in writing.

SOUND of THUNDER 2012

Another great race weekend has been and gone.

As always entry numbers were high with around 40 bikes in some fields. The racing very competitive with a strong contingent of overseas and north island riders making the trip down under. The weather held all weekend (just) allowing for good fast paced racing in all classes. The BMW superbikes of Sloan Frost & John Ross showed their class in F1 & Moto Euro with the ever present Triumph 675's & Aprilia RSV's not too far behind. Ducati was the bike of chose in Superstock & F2 with podium clean sweeps and Classic class showing resilience with several bike & rider combinations well over a century.

Overall an excellent and entertaining weekend and if you missed it make sure you're there next year for the 30th anniversary.
